Frequently Asked Questions

 

1. Do we have to participate everyday?
The short answer is no; however, it does not hurt to practice as much as possible.

 

2. Where can I find driving directions to your pool?

Driving directions can be found here.

 

3. Who do I make payments out to?

Payments should be made by check to Auburn Aquatics.

 

4. When are swim Meet entries due for my child?

Meet entries are due two weeks before the first day of the swim meet.Information is available on here and will be given by each coach on a meet to meet basis.

 

5. Do the Olympic Strokes group compete in Meets?

Every group that trains with Auburn Aquatics is eligible to participate in swim meets. Coaches may give recommendations on whether or not a swimmer should attend a meet.

 

6. Where can I find Meet Information, Meet Results and Ribbons from swim meets?

Meet Information and Meet Results can be found on the following links: here. Coaches from each group are responsible for Ribbons.

 

7. Where do I pick up my child after swim practice?

It is very important that you meet your children in the lobby of the pool. Children should not be outside.

 

8. What is a Mini Meet?

Mini meets are usually once a month. They are very low key and fun. It is a training tool to teach our youngest swimmers about competition.

 

9. Are Parents allowed on the Poll Deck?

No not at the James E. Martin Aquatics Center. It is a USA Swimming regulation as parents aren't covered by the USA Swimming membership. Parents should seat in the stand or in the designated areas. Only coaches, officials and registered volunteers are allowed on the pool deck.

 

10. How can I use my Meet Credit?

Meet credit can only be used for home meet. Some team events or team travel may be eligible to use your Meet Credit.

 

10. Swimming Equipment?

Make sure your child uses appropriate swimming equipment (no deep sea diving fins!). You can find equipment order form here.

 

11. Does Auburn Aquatics have a Master's (18+) program?

No, while the Auburn Masters Team also uses the James E. Martin Aquatic Center, it is a seperate entity from the club team. For more information please visit their web page here.
